Dewain Freed
Virginia Freed
Dewain Freed, 86, Kearney, Mo., passed away October 28, 2011. Virginia Freed, 83, Kearney, Mo., passed away March 8, 2013.
Dewain was born July 22, 1925 to Dave and Effie McMinn Freed. He was a Navy veteran. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Boeing Airlines. Dewain had a love for airplanes, golf and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Freed.
Virginia was born July 24, 1929 in Chanute, Kans., to Norman and Blanche Webster.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, and watching the birds and squirrels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother, Donovan Webster.
She is survived by her sister, Geniveve (Jerry) Harmsen.
Dewain and Virginia were married November 8,1952. They traveled the world together when Dewain worked for Boeing. They spent most of their life together in Linnwood, Wash., before moving to Kearney in 2003.
A celebration of their lives will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Cremation They will be buried together at Fairview Cemetery, Kearney, Mo.
