Kevin Alan Angelakos
Kevin Alan Angelakos, 48, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away April 25, 2013. Kevin was born July 3, 1964 in St. Joseph, Mo., to Milton and Dolores Mills Angelakos. Kevin was a high school graduate. He later served his country proudly in the United States Army. After his stint in the Army, Kevin was employed as an automobile mechanic. He also held memberships in the YMCA, as well as his Homes Association. People who knew Kevin knew him as a man who was a free spirit and one who loved life.
Survivors include his mother, Dolores Kane; father, Milton Angelakos; son, Kyle Angelakos; daughter, Ashley Angelakos; close friend, Diana Reed; brothers, Paul Angelakos, Brian Angelakos, Steve Angelakos, Terence Kane, and Tony Riggs; sister, Melodi Lowe; former wife, Kathy Angelakos; three nieces and three nephews; and his dogs, Trigger and Bubba.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kans. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday April 30, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may made to the family for the children’s education fund or to a soup kitchen of your choice.
